General Information

The computer science colloquia are usually held in the seminar room (which is near Entrance L) on Tuesdays at 2:15 PM. and are expected to last 45 to 60 minutes (not including questions following the talk). The talks are usually given in English. It is always possible to ask questions during or immediately after a talk. Often, the speaker is available the rest of the afternoon for more private discussions.

We welcome outside attendees. However, if a whole group is planning to participate, please bring this to the organizer's attention as early as possible, such that the colloquium can be moved, if necessary, to a larger room. The talks are generally aimed at an audience with at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, though sometimes more is required. There is no fee for participation.

If you would like to visit the department and give a talk, please contact the colloquium organizer Daniel Merkle or a person in your research area.
