The lecture on Wednesday Nov. 1, 2-4 PM,  will deal with TURAN's THEOREM AND EXTREMAL GRAPH THEORY. A set of notes TURAN's THEOREM (25 pages) will be handed out.

The exercises on Monday Nov. 6, 10-12 AM, will deal with problems from the set of notes on Turan's Theorem handed out on Nov.1 :

• Problems from the fourth last page in the notes on Turan's Theorem: VII.4.4, VII.4.5 and VII.4.6
• Problems from the last page in the notes on Turan's Theorem: 7.3.1, 7.3.2, 7.3.3 and possibly 7.3.4.
