Section 1.6: Perfect Graphs

The paper
C.Berge, The history of the perfect graphs, EC94/02, Institut Blaise Pascal, Université Paris VI, March 1994,
referred to in a footnote on page 13, has appeared in extended form as
C. Berge, Motivations and history of some of my conjectures, Discrete Math. 165/166 (1997), 61-70.

The paper Berge [1963a] (that we mention as the earliest published paper we have found where the term "perfect graph" is used) is mentioned in the Discrete Math. paper as a version of the paper Berge [1963b], but this should be as a version of
C. Berge, Some classes of perfect graphs, in F. Harary (ed.), Graph Theory and Theoretical Physics, Academic Press 1967, 155-165.

The Strong Perfect Graph Conjecture has been solved. The positive solution appeared in
M. Chudnovsky, N. Robertson, P. Seymour and R. Thomas, The strong perfect graph theorem, Annals of Mathematics 164 (2006), 51-229.
