| is the brief name for a graduate school,
comprising research groups in Operator Algebra,
Algebraic Topology,Topology and Geometry at Aarhus University and at
the
University of Southern Denmark.
It was established January 1 2003 in order to formalize
and strengthen the graduate education aspects of a long standing
cooperation between the above mentioned research groups.
The research areas in question have been prominent
representatives of Danish mathematics on the international scene over
several decades, and today they continue to develop in between
and
around their origins.
Currently, particularly strong themes are Non
Commutative Probability Theory, the vibrant connections between Low
Dimensional Geometry and Physics, and the
continued ubiquity of Algebraic K-theory as a tool and an
object of study throughout the whole breadth of OP-ALG-TOP-GEO.
