We agreed upon a second Milestone meeting for the exam project. This will take place in my office on Monday, May 29. The time scheduled for each group is the following:
Each group should be prepared to report orally about the ongoing work.
The date for handing in the code and the report is fixed to 23.59 of June 13. The oral presentations of the projects is fixed to Monday, June 19. The schedule of the day is the following:
The oral exam is fixed for June 21. Students must sign up for a place in the exam sequence. The list is available in the IMADA secretaries' office from May 20. Exams will start at 11 and last 30 minutes each.
From the course web page, under the section ``Oral Exam'', it is available a list of possible questions for the exam. the list will be closed on Tuesday, May 16.
In the lecture we introduced stochastic optimization and
studied the Vehicle Routing Problem with stochastic demands as an
example. This part will not be asked at the oral exam. Then, we
discussed in groups a practical case of experimental design for the
study of tabu search features.
Follow two notes from the IMADA department:
There will be a "pizza-meeting" for all students of Imada on Thursday, May 18 at 16.00-18.30 in room U49. At the meeting Imada will give general information on the Bachelor and Candidate studies, and specific information on the elective courses in Mathematics and Computer Science planned for the next semester. The meeting will end with a free pizza, beer, and soft drink session.
